Multi Genre Research Proposal
For my research topic, I will be researching the animal entertainment industry, including first hand accounts, environmental effects, and branching off into the use of animals for therapy use and research purposes. For references, I can use my dog's vet, Pat Ziegler at Park crest Vet and maybe an animal obedience trainer. There are many documentaries on Netflix such as Blackfish, Whale Wars and Lion Ark which are all full of information. I want to mainly focus on Japanese whale killings, circus training and dog fighting. I want to know more about this topic because I have such a love for animals and I want to know what measures are being taken to protect these animals forced into the entertainment industry.

I've always wondered how the entertainment animals are being treated, it even makes it hard for me to watch them perform. This will be interesting information to learn about.

ReplyDeleteDon't even get me started on the dolphins and whales being killed in Taiji. It makes me so angry that people could do something like that and just not care. I did a huge research project on this last year and I had some really good websites if you so desire. Good topic, animals are the best!
ReplyDeleteAs the article read about how young kids are making a difference, you to could try and find ways that could prevent animals from getting mistreated. I am sure that this topic would not to difficult to do.

ReplyDeleteWhen I was younger, I always thought that circus animals were pampered and treated like royalty, but now that I'm older I know that usually isn't the case. Ms. James said something about you looking at the therapeutic use of animals. I don't know if that's still the plan, but I know there's at least one pet therapy group here in Springfield. I've talked to someone from it and they were very knowledgeable and excited to share what they knew.
